What are dangerous goods?

Dangerous goods are substances or items with hazardous properties that may pose a risk to people, property or the environment if they are not handled correctly.

Depending on the item, dangerous goods may:

• Explode
• Asphyxiate
• Burn
• Poison
• Corrode skin or metals
• Pollute the environment
• Become unstable when combined with other products
   

Can I send dangerous goods with CouriersPlease?

CouriersPlease can transport some types of dangerous goods domestically in limited quantities by road or rail.

This service is only available to pre-approved EDI account customers and specific conditions apply.

Dangerous goods cannot be sent internationally, and Dangerous Goods services are not available to Tasmania.
